The Friends of Grantown Primary School are the Parent Council.
We act as a link between school and the parent body, with meetings held roughly once a term. More importantly, we fundraise for the school and nursery, supporting extracurricular activities and investing in educational materials that would otherwise be out of reach of the school. As well as applying for external funding and grants, we organise a series of social fundraising events throughout the year. In recent years we have paid to refurbish the library, provided classroom tablets for the lower-year classes, and subsidised school trips. We do like to supplement our meetings with home-baked cakes, always a crowd pleaser!
We’re always looking for new members to bring energy, enthusiasm and new ideas. If you’d like to get involved, just get in touch or come along to any meeting. Even if you are not sure how you can help, there will be a way that you can help to make a difference to our school.
