End of Term

Happy Friday everyone!

Today is the last day of the school term and so there will be no updates on the Google Classrooms over the next 2 weeks until the start of the new term on Tuesday 14th April. From 14th April the plan is that teachers will post a weekly grid with suggestions of activities that children could do that week. This will be posted as an assignment and children will be able to share any work by ‘handing in’ the assignment and attaching any photos or files. Each day there will also be a simple question on each classroom for pupils to answer, which should only take a few seconds. Answering this question will act as a register for the day.

This holiday will no doubt be different from other holidays but I very much hope everyone is able to enjoy spending time at home with their families. The Highland Digital Schools Hub continues to be updated with information, resources and ideas so is a good starting point for anyone looking for ideas to keep their children engaged over the holidays: https://sites.google.com/millburnacademy.org.uk/highlanddigitalschoolshub/home The Highland Council has also set up a helpline to give assistance to anyone in need of support. The single line number – 0300 303 1362 – will connect callers to relevant Council specialist teams and will operate Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm. All calls are free. I will continue to check in to emails and this group every few days over the holidays and share any urgent information with you on here and the school blog. Please continue to share information with any families you know who may not see it online.

Thank you for all the support you have shown the school over the past few weeks, it is very much appreciated by myself, Mrs Clark and all the staff team at GPS.

Take care, Miss Moss 🌈
